Welcome to the future Garden of Hedron official website!

Garden of Hedron is a block-based building game built in Godot, and once it's a little more playable, you'll be able to download it, read patch notes and see update previews here. If that sounds like your sort of game, bookmark this page and check back in a little while. In the meantime, go check out the other cool websites on Neocities!

Bad Timing

Posted 2024/10/14

I haven't really been updating the site since my last post here, since there haven't really been any updates to make. Unfortunately, things in my life have taken a turn for the worse since then and I've had both less free time and less desire to dedicate what free time I do have to this project. It's not cancelled by any means, but consider it on indefinite hiatus for now.

Back in Action

Everything's back where it should be and my project's working just as nicely on Linux as it did on Windows-- thank you, Godot! I also posted a little update on my tumblr blog (linked in the header), so go check it out and maybe give it a follow. There's no fancy avatar or header yet so it still looks a bit unprofessional, but once I have more blocks implemented I might put together a logo and take a screenshot for the blog header. Maybe even get rid of that obnoxious "under construction" header here as well, eh?

0.1 Progress Report

Posted 2024/09/20

Just in case anyone's already following this project in its infancy and has noticed the sudden radio silence after the initial flurry of roadmap updates and site prettification-- fear not! While switching over to linux on my old dev laptop due to rapidly degenerating system performance on windows, I've been temporarily unable to work on this project as I worked through various issues and restored my files, but soon things will be back to normal and work will continue as planned.

On a more meta level, future "progress reports" (or in this case, "lack of progress reports") such as this one might go on my tumblr instead once it's set up, if only to save hosting space here. This page is/was mostly going to be for actual releases, when there are any to post. My tumblr will be where I post teasers, requests for feedback and other minor progress updates.

Although maybe serious progress reports have a place on both platforms.
